Jessica Simpson is being sued by a women who claims Simpson ripped off her cosmetics brand. The women is accusing Simpson of copying the trademarked name "love potion" and incorporating it into Simpson's Desert line. The women also names Sephora and Desert developer D'lish in the suit. I don' t think you need to be a rocket scientist to know that the idea of this desert shit from the start was a dumb concept. Here's a novel idea....why don't you make lotion that actually moisturizes and quit trying to sell shit that smells like my left over birthday cake from two years ago. Do Pizza Hut's new cheesy bites smell like vanilla cupcakes?
jesse LOLOLOL!! Gee that post was so funny (wipes tear away) You really crack me up!! What a novel concept, spelling corrections on blogs!!, heh, heh, heh. Can't stop laughing. We all can't wait for your next ground breaking contribution....I bet you are the friggin life of the party man!!!
back OT, I haven't seen the ad, but I have a tingle of excitment at the possibility of Jessica tripping in her boots, and falling face first into the peach pie.
But I guess that just me. She'd probably just make some body wash shit out of it anyway.
If you have a blog dedicated to pointing out that celebrities are idiots, it doesn't exactly work to use incorrect spellings or grammar. Feel free to be an idiot, as long as you recognize the irony.
Feel free to leave and go somewhere else if it upsets you so much. Kelditty has commented (numerous times) that she makes the occasional spelling goof. She says that it is just one of those things. She spends a lot of time keeping this blog up so that people can have a little fun. No one else seems to get all OC about it, and nitpicking each blog seems extremely petty, and NON funny to me. Just because someone makes a spelling error, does not mean they do not have something, funny, or relevant to say. Continously posting these comments is rude, and serves no other purpose but to obviously give you something to say.
Kelditty has commented (and frankly I don't blame her) that if the spelling corrections continue to disrupt the blog, then she would rather not deal with it. The idea that this blog would close because of some self -righteous NON funny person like yourself is sickening. So I humbly suggest that you keep your corrections to yourself, or go somewhere else. I am confident that this view is not just my own.
I have only recently started reading this blog and I really enjoy it. I haven't read any of her posts about just going with spelling errors, if she doesn't care, then fine. My corrections were not meant in a spirit of being mean, or funny, for that matter. I have a blog and I get upset when I realize that I have had a grammer or spelling error posted and no one has told me about it. Its the same to me as when no one tells you that you have food in your teeth, I would just rather have someone tell me so that I can correct the mistake. I'm sorry I upset you, it wasn't intended to be offensive.
it's cool ;) This has been a hot topic for a while. You can only say "sorry about that" so many times before it becomes a real downer. Kelditty writes some really funny stuff, and I would hate for her to get discouraged. Face it, you need a little encouragement to keep putting in the hours keeping a site like this up. I am no spelling champ myself, but obviously that doesn't stop me lol!! Reading this blog gives us bit of humor to keep the week going. Peace Out.
If everyone would just ignore the person who keeps correcting every little thing, then maybe we won't have all of these posts with people arguing. I agree - WHO CARES IF SOMETHING IS SPELLED WRONG !!!! But let's all just ignore this person - he/she is not worth the time, energy or acknowledgement. I am done - I am going back to ignoring it.
Spell-checking (which I know would not have caught this) - and learning to spell - are not requirements for being funny. You do however lose points in the professional world when you can't communicate effectively. And communicating effectively is becoming tougher and tougher to do.
Saying it's not important takes away from the idea that if you understand what you're saying (and it's worthwhile, or funny) you should be sure your readers understand what you said.
Journalists (on-line and in print, TV, etc.) and professional writers aren't doing any better lately - this doesn't make it right, it just makes it sadder.
And slamming the fact that l33t speak or bad spelling and grammar isn't accepted doesn't help.
/may have made a mistake - I'm not at work //and you don't care either, apparently.
I have no idea what your last four sentences meant. Perhaps you could express yourself more coherently. Was "(33t" suppose to mean something?? or was that just a typo?
Wait! I'm a regular reader who is VERY DISTRACTED by the spelling mistakes! I love kelditty too, but I don't know how you can't think that the mistakes take away from her humor. If you are someone who grew up learning spelling was important, which most of us did, then you can't not see glaring mistakes. Finally, this whole problem could be avoided by just using spellcheck, or having one person proofread for her, or when a reader points out an error to just fix it. No big deal. Bad spelling isn't something to be ashamed of, but you should know it makes a person look uneducated- and unfunny.
i must speak. this whole problem could NOT be avoided if I used spell check. Blog spell check is awful and doesn't catch the there their they're crap. I use it everytime on every post and see where it's getting me. Second I do not have the time to have someone proof read this shit. I am not like most bloggers. I have a serious job. A job that I don't even glance at this site while I'm at work. this is my fun hobby. a hobby i started for my friends because they loved my crazy chatter about celebs and my sarcasm. I apologize for the spelling mistakes but they are just there(their? aw fuck it) and they will probably continue to be there unless I decide to make blogging a career. if you want me to make blogging a career starting sending me money. I prefer cash or check. kisses!!!!
Kelditty has spoken. It is obvious that the spell checking is not welcome. Now everyone needs to be an adult and either accept it, or leave.
I personally wish that people would put as much effort into posting amusing comments, as they do posting every correction on "to", and "their". HOPEFULLY, we are through with this so we can go back to making sarcastic, and smart ass comments again. (waves "devil" sign) "Gosh".
Kelditty - go right on posting things with spelling mistakes !! I will never stop reading this site - it is hilarious. Ignore the comments people post about your spelling - who cares, they are losers with nothing better to do
Dessert, not Desert. The way you have it spelled you are talking about the Sahara, not cupcakes.
