Why do I get the distintive feeling that Ms. Britney consults with her PR rep. before she makes any move regarding K-Fed now?
Britney: "Do you think it would be better if I just drop him now? you know 'girl power' thang, and showing everyone I won't stand for his shit??
"Or should I forgive him, you know, like Sienna Miller, and then it shows how compasionate, and loving I am, you know, that kind of crap?, so whadda think?"
"Maybe everyone will feel so sorry for me, my new album will do better."
PR Rep" "Whatever keeps you on the front pages of US, and People magazine Britney, any publicity, is good publicity. You might want to keep him around a bit longer. You might be able to get another 18 mos. out of it."

You can just see it now. Britney sings the blues. Or she could go country and sing about a drunk husband, pickup trucks, and trailers.
